Limerick SongWriters @ Foley's Bar, Limerick Thursday 7th APRIL 2011 9.00pm The SongWriterSessions continues upstairs at Foley's Bar, Sarsfield Street, Limerick 9.00pm Special Guest this week is rocker Mark O'Connor. Limerick musician, producer, writer and performer Mark O'Connor performs at this weeks Limerick Songwriter Session in Foley's bar...don't miss it! He ran the legendary Balls of Iron Studios in Limerick. Nearly every Limerick band and the Outonalimb roster has recorded there. He has played bass/guitar/keys/drums/sang with many Limerick acts including Veneer, Moonboot, Tooth and Golf. He has been involved with many campaigns with Gluaiseacht including demonstrating in Genoa G8, Fasslane, Sellafield and Rossport. And hangin' with Noam Chomsky... He has been a member of the AMC. He's 30 something and should really know better. As Usual all aspiring songwriters are invited to attend and play there songs in front of a live audience. All types of music and singers are welcome, a limited amount of instruments will be available for use on the night. The evening will features songwriters doing short sets of two or three songs. There will also be an opportunity for getting a YouTube video of your performance made free of charge and uploaded to our site. Performances will also be recorded and and available to download later. Host for the sessions are songwriters Brian Connolly, Chris Wood and Sean MacLeod. SongWriter Sessions@Foley's bar takes place every Thursday of the month.
