Alan Keane is a singer/songwriter from limerick. He began writing songs 7 years ago while spending some time in Boston and just carried on since then. He is currently playing with limerick 3-piece The Crimson Flames, having played solo and in other outfits for the last few years. His lyrics are quintessentially Irish and the music has a strong focus on melody and harmony, drawing heavily from the raconteurs of the 60's and 70's.The songs as a whole paint a picture of a time and a place rather than the usual i-love-you-baby rubbish that assaults our ears daily. He will be recording an EP later this year and has recently recieved local and national airplay with a Christmas charity single which was in aid of the Crumlin Children's Hospital.

As Usual all aspiring songwriters are invited to attend and play there songs in front of a live audience. All types of music and singers are welcome, a limited amount of instruments will be available for use on the night.
The evening will features songwriters doing short sets of two or three songs.
