Larry has one album to his credit, ‘The Dog That Heard The Bell’ a well-received album of songs and tunes many of which have a ‘Shannonside’ theme, that is, Limerick and East Clare, of which Larry is a native.

SongWriter Sessions @ The Locke Bar
Thursday 22nd July 2010 9.00pm

The SongWriter Sessions@The Locke Bar, continues at The Locke Bar, George's Quay, Limerick 9.00pm July 22nd with special guest Jimi Cullen.

Jimi Cullen is a solo musician from Gorey, South East Ireland. He has been writing and performing for about three years and has built a good reputation as one of the hardest working musicians in Ireland with over 500 gigs to his credit. Needless to say such hard work is resulting in an increasing number of fans who are moved by his music and his song "On the Street" has surely got to be the anthem for all the homeless people in the world. When he sings that song you can almost touch the emotion he arouses in his listeners.

Jimi is truly one of the last unsung Troubadours.

SongWriter Sessions @ The Locke Bar
Thursday 15th July 2010 9.00pm

The SongWriter Sessions@The Locke Bar, continues at The Locke Bar, George's Quay, Limerick 9.00pm July 15th with special guest Brendan Markham.

This Weeks Special Guest is singer/songwriter Brendan Markham.

BRENDAN MARKHAM has just released his debut solo album ‘False Witness’, a deeply soulful collection that cries out to be heard by more than just a few discerning ears. Brendan’s story is a fascinating one. In the late-nineties, his former band The Driven had the extremely good fortune of touring with Stereophonics, Green Day and Weezer. The Rathkeale combo also found time to rub Marilyn Manson up the wrong way, to give it some welly at the legendary Reading Festival and even outsell Oasis in the album charts across mainland Europe.

After the band split, Brendan was asked to record some music for a lingerie advert in Italy. Moving to Venice, he began work with drumming hero Manu Katché. He can also boast to having toured with Sting and Jeff Beck, not to mention recording a televised concert in an ancient Sicilian amphitheatre in Taormina as Mount Etna spewed hot molten lava in the background.
