Special guest tonight is Jay Red aka Mc Mimmic.

Jay Red aka Mc Mimmic, is a HipHop Freestyle emcee born in limerick city, appeared on the Podge and Rodge show, Played in Thomond park for the 2010 opening ceremony of the special olympics. just finishing his second Album "know what I'm saying " and I will be banging a couple of tracks from the album on the night!

As Usual all aspiring songwriters are invited to attend and play there songs in front of a live audience. All types of music and singers are welcome, a limited amount of instruments will be available for use on the night.
The evening will feature open-mic songwriters doing short sets of two or three songs. There will also be an opportunity for getting a YouTube video of your performance made free of charge and uploaded to our site. Performances will also be recorded and and available to download later. This weeks guest is Limerick's own Woody Guthrie, Paul Russell plus Open-Mic.




Paul Russell has been playing his unique blend of Woody Guthrie and his own songs around the Limerick open-mic scene for the few years. Alwayse a man to try and get the audience involved in the show Paul uses a variety of instruments which members of the audience are encouraged to play.

As Usual all aspiring songwriters are invited to attend and play there songs in front of a live audience. All types of music and singers are welcome, a limited amount of instruments will be available for use on the night.

Limerick blues/soul legend Damo Carroll plus Open-Mic.

Damo Carroll is a native of Limerick City. He began playing in local
bars at age sixteen. His influences are blues, soul, country and of
course singer / songwriters. He is essentially a live artist, with no
studio albums to date.

This weeks special guest is singer songwriter Paddy Mulcahy

Paddy Mulcahy has been around the Limerick Music scene for the past 5 years. He plays a mixture of his own songs and traditional folk classics from various different countries.
During his time in Limerick he attended the Irish World Music Academy at the University of Limerick and studied a masters in Ethnomusicology. While in UL he started a group called Noland Folk with witch he has since recorded 2 albums and toured all over Europe.
He also promotes music and last year won the “best artist management” A.O.I.F.E. award for booking the music for the Ennistymon Family Festival in Co. Clare.

Special Guest is John Taylor from Scotland.




John Taylor released his debut album "Bring the stars alive" in jan 2009 and started appearing at acoustic venues and festivals around Scotland,and in 2010 John released his follow up album "A place called paradise" and to promote it he had his first sell out show then headed off on his first Irish tour.John also sighned a deal this year with a large music library that supplies music to all the latest hollywood blockbusters. John has opened up for some great touring acts like madison Violet,Stacey Earl,Sam Carter ,Annie Keating and had his own headline show at this years Glasgow Americana Festival and to end the year off John is playing as part of "A song for autism at St andrews in the square,Glasgow ,work is in progress for John's third album as he continues to carve his name on the tree of folk roots and acoustic music, John's albums are available on itunes .. .. .. .. .... .... .
